ALISON RICHARDSON SunGard Africa
After matriculating, Alison spent a year in the South African Army Women’s College in George. She joined the South African Permanent Building Society in 1984, and worked in various roles while studying part time; the Perm was taken over by Nedbank. Alison spent many years at Nedbank in various roles, the last as the Head of Talent Management for the group. During this time, Alison led a small project team which researched and implemented flexible work practices for the Group in 2009. Alison left Nedbank in early 2009 to complete her MBA, and joined SunGard Systems South Africa (Pty) Ltd. She is currently the HR Director for SunGard Africa, which includes Israel and Dubai. Alison enjoys travelling, and has travelled to more than 20 different countries during the past few years; her next adventure is to Italy to discover Venice, Florence and Tuscany in September 2011. She also enjoys long walks, wilderness trails in the Kruger National Park, scrapbooking, art, good coffee and reality TV.
